Top-down & Bottom-up Operation Blinds

Top-Down and Bottom-Up Blinds in New Zealand

When it comes to creating the perfect home environment, lighting and privacy are top priorities for New Zealand homeowners—especially for those living in street-facing properties or modern apartments.

What Are Top Down & Bottom Up Blinds?

Unlike traditional blinds, this innovative window covering lets you not only open the blind from the bottom, but these clever blinds can open from the top, the bottom, or anywhere in between. You can lower the top, raise the bottom, or adjust both sections to achieve your ideal mix of daylight and seclusion, and, thanks to their tension, the blinds will not sway in the drafts.

Available in Roman blinds, Honeycomb blinds, Pleated blinds and Aluminium Venetian blinds. The blinds can be mounted on the wall, the architrave, in the recess, or on the glazing via an adhesive mounting option, available for many models.

PLISSEE BLINDS offers a truly large selection of models, including cordless/tension blinds and chain-and-cord-operated models, as well as automated options that can be smart-home-integrated.

Why Are They Perfect for Street-Facing NZ Homes and Apartments?

  • Maximum Privacy and Security: Lower the top portion to let in light while keeping the bottom closed—perfect for ground-floor windows or busy city streets. Passersby can’t peer in, but you still enjoy daylight and a more cozy and secure living environment.
  • Full Light Control: Control glare and sun exposure at any time of day, which is particularly useful for north- or south-facing NZ rooms that experience shifting sunlight.
  • Drill-free adhesive mounting options for many models.
  • Adaptable for Urban Living: In high-density areas like Auckland or Wellington, versatile privacy solutions are crucial. Top-down & bottom-up blinds let you enjoy views and natural light without feeling exposed, while shielding you from unsightly street view
