Pleated Blinds
Pleated Honeycomb Blinds are a modern and versatile choice for any home or office. Designed with a unique honeycomb structure, these blinds trap air inside their pockets, providing excellent insulation against heat and cold. This makes them one of the most energy-efficient blinds available, helping you maintain a comfortable indoor temperature while reducing energy costs.
Pleated or honeycomb blinds with small pleats are perfect for street-facing balcony doors, including sliding doors, folding doors, and windows, with the innovative 16mm slim-rail blind system for the narrow glass bead/rebate.

These pleated door and window blinds can be used in a variety of applications:
Thanks to a special manufacturing process, our blind fabric qualities are antistatic and, therefore, dust and dirt-repellent. Occasional brushing with a soft brush or dust frond is usually sufficient to clean pleated blinds. Cellular blind fabrics come in a large selection of fabric colours in three fabric transparencies and many fabric properties like anti-glare blinds for offices, flame retardant blinds for public buildings, blinds for moist rooms, blinds fabrics that have a so-called mother-of-pearl coating (Perlex®) on their outward-facing fabric surface. These blind fabrics have a high degree of light reflection, and the double pleated honeycomb blind fabric acts as thermal insulation to help keep in the warmth in winter and the heat out in summer.

Keep in mind that a blind’s functional properties are usually completely independent of its colour and style: there are white room-darkening fabrics and black fabrics offering high heat protection but still letting plenty of light into the room. The choice is yours.
Duo day and Night blinds
Duo day and night blinds incorporate two different fabrics in one honeycomb blind. Each of the two blind fabrics can be independently adjusted, with the sections linked by a middle rail. One fabric can be completely hidden so that the window area is covered by the other fabric only, both window blind fabrics can be hidden away, or a combination of both fabrics can be visible. A combination of one transparent/translucent and one dim-out/black-out fabric allows for optimal variability of use, with control over light ingress, heat transfer and privacy. Duo blinds are perfect for bedrooms, offices and living areas and for homes where passive thermal insulation is a goal.
Darkening and Privacy policy
Blind fabrics can be selected by their darkening and privacy properties. Transparent blinds are perfect to enhance and decorate rooms with minimal reduction of light and views. Semi-Transparent and Translucent blinds are ideal for living spaces in which a balance between privacy and comfortable light conditions is sought. Dim Out blinds are optimal for workspaces with sun-oriented aspects in which significant glare reduction is required but natural lighting remains sufficient to work without artificial lighting. Black Out blinds are particularly suited to bedrooms and other spaces where room darkening and privacy are essential.
Transparent
Transparent blinds are made from a sheer fabric that typically has no coating or lamination. Ideally used to enhance and decorate rooms, they allow for natural light to filter through and for an unobstructed view outside, while offering subtle privacy during daylight hours
Translucent
Transparent blinds are made from a sheer fabric that typically has no coating or lamination. Ideally used to enhance and decorate rooms, they allow for natural light to filter through and for an unobstructed view outside, while offering subtle privacy during daylight hours
Semi-Transparent
Transparent blinds are made from a sheer fabric that typically has no coating or lamination. Ideally used to enhance and decorate rooms, they allow for natural light to filter through and for an unobstructed view outside, while offering subtle privacy during daylight hours
Dim out
Dim out blinds offer room-darkening properties and provide excellent privacy. Interior light intensity is significantly reduced to dusk or dawn conditions. In pleated blinds, tiny holes for the tension cords allow some light to enter through, while these holes are internal in honeycomb blinds and do not allow light through. Some light may enter through lateral gaps between the blind and window or wall, depending on the chosen mounting system.
Black out
Black out blinds are completely opaque and ideally suited to room-darkening purposes. Most fabrics are laminated with a reflective coating on the exterior side for superior heat protection. The only light to enter is through tiny tension cord holes (in pleated blinds only; tension cords are internally guided in honeycomb blinds), and possibly through lateral gaps between the blind and window or wall, depending on the chosen mounting system
Heat and Glare protection
Blind fabrics can be selected by their heat and glare protection properties for optimal regulation of room temperature requirements. These properties – transmission, absorption and reflection – are displayed next to each fabric and are determined by weave, colour and coating.
Transmission describes the amount of light that passes through the pleated blind’s fabric. The lower the transmission value, the less daylight passes through the fabric.
Absorption describes the amount of light that is swallowed and transformed to heat by the pleated blind’s fabric. Lighter colours will absorb the least light.
Reflection describes the amount of light that is thrown back by the pleated blind’s fabric. The higher the reflection value, the better the fabric reflects incoming light and assists in keeping rooms cool. In addition to their fundamental weave and colour properties, fabrics with a specialised reflective coating (Perlex®) on their exterior-facing sides are particularly effective at reflecting light.
GLARE REDUCTION FOR YOUR WORKSPACES
Protection from glare is vital for commercial and/or work station applications to avoid overexertion and exhaustion of the eyes. The transmission value of a fabric is particularly important when considering glare reduction, although the protection provided by the pleated blinds varies according to the orientation of a window. For example, the indirect light falling through a south facing window can be effectively reduced with a high transmission value of up to 20%, while glare protection from direct light requires fabrics with a much lower transmission value. For offices and other commercial applications, we recommend the following minimum transmission values depending on the orientation of the window:
- North facing: 0 – 5 %
- East and west facing: 2 – 6 %
- South facing: 15 – 20 %
All pleated blinds with a transmission value at or below 5% are marked as suitable for work stations.
