Tilt & Turn Window & Door Blinds

Tilt-and-turn windows are the most commonly used windows in Germany and northern Countries and are becoming more prominent in NZ. Tilted, they allow fresh air to flow into the room from above and can be made of uPVC, wood, or aluminium. Since they can open completely inwards, window cleaning for tilt-and-turn windows is child’s play.

Diversity is everything

Plissee Blinds offers an extensive choice of blinds for inward-opening windows/tilt-and-turn windows, fixed windows, sliding or folding windows and doors, including Venetian blinds, Pleated blinds, Honeycomb blinds, Roller blinds and Roman blinds.

  • Contemporary design with rail/profile dimensions of just over 20mm for most models.
  • No bulky plastic framing to mount the blinds.

Pleated Blinds & Honeycomb Blinds

Both of these blinds use the same rail systems. Pleated blinds and honeycomb blinds look very similar once installed. Both blinds can be operated top-down & vice versa or classic-bottom-up with lateral guides to ensure that the blind stays on the window frame even when the window is tilted. Lowered window blinds, even slightly, significantly impact on your privacy, light and view.

Both pleated blinds and honeycomb blinds can be easily mounted on most window frames, including those made of plastic, as well as on glass panes, walls and ceilings – sometimes even without drilling and screwing.

With the blinds fabrics special functions and properties like flame retardant, anti-glare for office, damp room suitable and heat reflecting laminations for passive insulation. The only different is the fabric pleat.

Pleated blinds are a single pleat fabric and have tiny holes to guide the tension cord through, and so these window blinds will still allow light to pass through. The elegant, tailor-made pleated blinds fit perfectly into the frames of tilt and turn windows and glass doors. The entire collection of pleated blinds fabrics includes an overwhelming range of colors and textures in various transparent or blackout qualities, and starts at a lower price point, they are one of Europe’s most popular blinds for tilt and turn windows and glass doors.

More about Honeycomb & pleated blinds

What are honeycomb blinds

Honeycomb blinds, also called cellular blinds are always the right choice and offer two advantages over simple pleated blinds; better room darkening properties, as tension cords are internally guided, and better thermal insulation properties, as they are constructed of two pleated fabric layers with insulating air spaces in between to compact heat loss. This makes honeycomb blinds for windows and doors a great choice for passive home insulation.

Venetian Blinds

Available in 16 mm and 25mm aluminium slats, this blind features bottom-up operation with lateral guides to keep the blind positioned by the window, or top-down and bottom-up operation. No drill mounting option available by adhesive or clamp mount.

FlicFlac & JUUN25; our two top-down & bottom-up operation blinds distribute the natural light in the room as required, creating the perfect atmosphere for working and relaxing.

These top down and bottom up blinds can be moved freely like a pleated blind. The angle of the blind slats can also be adjusted individually by turning the upper handlebar. Above all, the adjustable transparency with a clear view of the outside while providing privacy protection is what users love about the louvered blind. In the field of workplace design, Venetian blinds is the only system that meets all legal requirements for all lighting situations. Without disturbing points of light and with the good adjustability of the luminance, these window blinds creates the conditions for concentrated work.

Hard-wearing, easy-care, and moisture-resistant – the durability of our aluminum Venetian blinds is convincing, which also makes them a good window blinds choice for kitchens and bathrooms. There are attractive surfaces and multifaceted colours to choose from.

Classic blinds can be perfectly combined with tilt and turn windows. They integrate perfectly into the window frame. Lateral guides ensure that the blind stays on the window even when the window is tilted. Kid safe blinds available.
